From 2013 to 2018, in several group exhibitions in New York and France, I hung thick sheets of ice on the wall, a subversion of a form of Minimalism (monochrome) by a fluid form of nature. These “ice paints” melted for the duration of the exposure. They were a way of turning one's back on the commodification of art, but also a contemplation of the beauty of the element of water, and the materialization of time, which passes quickly in the face of the challenges of climate crisis.
